"Special Ability Possessing Special Cleaner Concept, Fresh"
Plus M Entertainment announced on the 9th that the grand prize of the 1st Scenario Contest was awarded to writer Kim Geon-hwi's "Jinju, the Girl with the Earring."
Director Kim Han-min, who participated in the judging, said, "The concept of a special cleaner with unique abilities is fresh," and added, "The characters surrounding the protagonist Jinju are diversely composed, promising the creation of an attractive film with a distinct genre flavor."
The Excellence Award went to writer Son Sang-jun's "Gwangpung," a caper movie based on real estate. The Merit Awards were given to writer Bae Kyung-heon’s "Land," a crime story set in a closed mining village, and writer Kim Ju-hyun’s "Gukgyeong," a global espionage blockbuster.
A total of 1,479 entries were submitted for this contest. After three months of judging, four winning works were selected. The judging panel included directors Kim Han-min, Kim Seong-su, and Lee Jong-pil.
