Introducing Innovative Technologies on 'Vehicle Intelligence'
Providing Personalized and Safe Vehicle Experiences
Major Unveiling of New Products and Services
Harman, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics that manufactures automotive electrical and electronic equipment, announced on the 9th that it showcased intelligent situational awareness technologies and products providing personalized vehicle experiences under the theme of 'Vehicle Intelligence' at 'CES 2025,' the world's largest electronics and information technology (IT) exhibition held from the 7th to the 10th (local time) in Las Vegas, USA.

In particular, the automotive solution 'Ready Products' attracted attention. The portfolio of this solution applied thinking, feeling, and voice technologies to provide a personalized and safe automotive experience. Armin Prommersberger, Harman's Chief Technology Officer (CTO), said about the Ready Products, "It comprehensively analyzes and understands the situations of drivers and passengers to provide the optimal automotive experience," adding, "Through new intelligent Ready Products that encompass the entire vehicle ecosystem, we will support differentiated solutions for consumers and manufacturers."
Furthermore, Harman collaborated with various companies in the automotive sector to present the vehicle app store 'Ready Link Marketplace,' which offers personalized and safe vehicle experiences; 'Ready Aware,' which provides intelligent warnings about road and traffic conditions; and the 'Ready Upgrade ADV2.0' digital cockpit, integrated with driver assistance systems to offer a safer driving experience.
'Ready Link Marketplace' is an integrated digital commerce platform that offers more than 150 vehicle apps and content, enhancing in-car experiences. To strengthen the developer ecosystem, Harman also collaborated with Microsoft (MS) and others. They added generative AI and Small Language Model (SLM) technologies to enable vehicle app developers to create apps more conveniently.
'Ready Aware' is a Vehicle-to-Network (V2N)-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product that provides drivers with road traffic information for safe driving. It was developed in partnership with 'MioVision,' a company specializing in intelligent traffic solutions. Ready Aware analyzes road and traffic conditions using digital twin and machine learning algorithm technologies and provides warnings to drivers, helping them accurately recognize situations such as intersections and road hazards and make safe choices.
Additionally, Harman collaborated with 'HL CleMove,' a leader in autonomous driving technology, to introduce a solution that integrates HL CleMove's Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) software and sensors with Harman's 'Ready Upgrade ADV2.0' digital cockpit into a single central computer platform, supporting driver safety.
Harman also unveiled 'Luna,' a hands-free avatar based on the new emotional intelligence AI system 'Ready Engage.' Luna provides personalized interactions through voice and visuals, forming a natural and intuitive bond between passengers and automotive solutions.
Notably, Ready Engage is integrated with 'Ready Care,' which monitors the status of drivers and passengers to provide a safer and more comfortable riding experience. For example, if Ready Care detects driver stress, Luna asks whether to go to a cafe and guides the optimized route. Inside the vehicle, Luna is visualized through Harman's augmented reality-based head-up display 'Ready Vision Q-View,' first introduced last year. Ready Vision Q-View has also been upgraded to offer a brighter and clearer screen with 5K resolution.
Harman introduced a car audio system that maximizes in-vehicle audiovisual experiences and content immersion. They also launched the new 'Harman Kardon App,' which allows individual control of woofers and speakers installed in each seat. Passengers can control the sound according to their preferences through the Harman Kardon App.
There was also 'Aura Lighting,' which synchronizes the currently playing music in real-time with vehicle mood lights or speakers equipped with lighting to provide lighting effects. This feature is linked with Harman Ready Care and operates alongside functions such as Naturescape, which plays natural sounds with music according to the driver's condition, Mood Wave, and massage. The seat-based passenger-centric extended audio system 'SeatSonic' offers a more personalized music listening experience with individual adjustments via the 'Emersi-Fi' dial.
