Engineers Hold Ceremony to Pledge Safe Operation

On the 8th, Gwangju Transportation Corporation held a New Year’s ‘Safety Operation Commitment Ceremony’ at the Yongsan Vehicle Depot in Dong-gu, reaffirming its commitment to achieving accident-free operations in 2025.
During the event, the corporation strengthened the safety awareness of train operators, who are at the forefront of urban railway operations, and pledged to faithfully fulfill its role as a public transportation operator trusted by local residents through proactive crisis management and prevention of human and material errors.
Last year, the corporation demonstrated its excellent safety management standards by being selected as the ‘Best Disaster Management Agency’ by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and being designated as the ‘Best Railway Safety Operator’ by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in 2023.
President Cho Ikmoon said, “We are doing our utmost to provide safe and convenient transportation services centered on citizens,” and added, “In the Year of the Eulsa, we will continue to grow as a model public enterprise loved by the local community through the highest level of safety and friendly service.”
