Support of 35,000 KRW out of 45,000 KRW Tuition Fee

Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) is recruiting 300 middle and high school students residing or attending school in the area, as well as out-of-school youth, on a first-come, first-served basis from the 9th to the 17th of this month to support enrollment in the ‘2025 Internet College Scholastic Ability Test Broadcast (Gangnam Ingong)’.

Yongsan Residents Can Access Gangnam Online Lectures for 10,000 Won... First-Come, First-Served Registration Starts on the 9th 2025 Internet CSAT Broadcast Enrollment Support Poster. Provided by Yongsan-gu.

Students only need to pay 10,000 KRW out of pocket to access unlimited middle and high school lectures for one year. The district supports 35,000 KRW of the total tuition fee. Support is provided once per household, and ID sharing is allowed among family members such as siblings. In 2023, the district signed a joint usage agreement with Gangnam-gu and Gangnam Ingong to allow free access to Gangnam Ingong for an annual tuition fee of 45,000 KRW.

The 10,000 KRW personal payment is reduced by 50% for holders of the Large Family Happiness Card with two children. Holders of the Large Family Happiness Card with three or more children, basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, persons with disabilities, single-parent families, national merit recipients, and others are exempted 100%. However, those eligible for reductions or exemptions must submit relevant supporting documents. Once selected as a participant for the enrollment support, individuals can register the issued enrollment voucher and attend unlimited lectures for one year.

Applications for Internet College Scholastic Ability Test Broadcast enrollment support can be made on the Yongsan JinHak Pass, Yongsan-gu’s specialized academic portal, from 10 a.m. on the 9th to 12 p.m. on the 17th. Although recruitment is limited to 300 people on a first-come, first-served basis, the number of recruits may increase depending on the number of reduced-fee and free participants.

The Internet College Scholastic Ability Test Broadcast (Gangnam Ingong) supported by the district features about 100 instructors, including current middle and high school teachers and academy instructors from Daechi-dong, providing lectures on middle and high school curriculum, CSAT preparation, and admission information.

Lectures are structured in 3 to 4 stages, including concept completion, advanced learning, problem-solving, and final review (applicable only to middle school and high school seniors). Since lectures are divided by unit, individuals can selectively attend only the parts they need, making it efficient. Various textbooks from well-known publishers on the market are used. However, textbooks must be purchased separately.

District Mayor Park Hee-young stated, “We continue to support Internet College Scholastic Ability Test Broadcast enrollment this year to help strengthen Yongsan-gu students’ self-directed learning capabilities,” adding, “Going forward, the district will do its best to eliminate disparities in college entrance preparation and learning and to improve the public education environment.”
