Guro-gu Awards Commendations to 79 Model Residents for the Second Half of 2024

79 Exemplary Residents Selected in 5 Fields for Dedication and Service to Community Development

On the 18th, Guro-gu held the '2024 Second Half Model Citizen Commendation Ceremony' at the district office auditorium.

The Model Citizen Commendation Ceremony was organized to express gratitude to citizens who have dedicated themselves to community development, volunteered, and actively participated in district administration, serving as role models for others.

The ceremony was held twice: at 10 a.m. for seven neighborhoods (Sindorim-dong, Guro 1·2·3·4·5-dong, Garibong-dong) and at 3 p.m. for nine neighborhoods (Gocheok 1·2-dong, Gaebong 1·2·3-dong, Oryu 1·2-dong, Sugung-dong, Hang-dong).

The event was attended by Acting Mayor Eom Ui-sik of Guro-gu, award recipients, their families, and about 200 others. Commendation certificates and bouquets were presented to the honored citizens along with words of congratulations and encouragement.

On this day, 79 individuals who dedicated themselves to district development in five areas?model community leaders and professional organizations, cleaning and environment, community development, education and culture, and disaster safety?received commendations.

A Guro-gu official said, “We sincerely thank the citizens who have devoted themselves and worked hard for the community. We will continue to do our best to create a hopeful Guro-gu together with the warm hearts of our citizens.”
