Hampyeong County, Jeollanam-do announced on the 17th that Eomda Elementary School donated 3.38 million won to the Eomdamyeon Office as part of the "Hope 2025 Sharing Campaign" to help neighbors in need.
The donated funds were raised through the proceeds from the "No Backpack Day Sharing Bazaar" held at Eomda Elementary School last month. Every year, Eomda Elementary School contributes to the improvement of local welfare by donating the proceeds from its bazaar to support neighbors in need.
Ryu Jaein, principal of Eomda Elementary School, said, "I feel great pride that our school event can extend beyond the school walls to share warmth with the local community," and added, "We will continue to carry out various sharing activities that realize educational values."
Jung Dongan, head of Eomdamyeon, said, "I sincerely thank the students, faculty, and parents of Eomda Elementary School for participating in this act of sharing with warm hearts," and added, "The donated funds will be used meaningfully to support neighbors in need in our community."
