Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) concluded the 'Misa Lake Park 10m Hanam-i Public Exhibition' project on the 13th, which was carried out as part of the 'Making Hanam a Livable City' initiative, receiving enthusiastic support and interest from citizens.
This public exhibition project involved displaying Hanam City's official character, 'Hanam-i,' beloved by citizens, as a 10-meter-tall oversized water exhibit in the scenic Misa Lake Park.
Since Hanam-i was exhibited as a water installation in Misa Lake Park starting October 12, crowds eager to see Hanam-i never ceased. In particular, citizens showed explosive reactions by uploading nearly 1,000 인증샷 (certification photos) of the Hanam-i exhibit on personal SNS platforms such as Instagram, blogs, and Facebook.
This response was also confirmed in a satisfaction survey conducted by Hanam City from October 12 to November 30, targeting 1,410 citizens. According to the survey results, 98.3% expressed satisfaction (91.8% very satisfied + 6.5% generally satisfied), overwhelmingly higher than the 0.7% who were dissatisfied (0.5% very dissatisfied + 0.2% generally dissatisfied).
The success of the 'Misa Lake Park 10m Hanam-i Public Exhibition' project is attributed to effective collaboration that eliminated departmental silos.
The Public Relations Officer actively communicated with eight departments and public institutions, including Misa 1, 2, and 3-dong, the Construction Division, Road Management Division, Parks and Greenery Division, Cultural Policy Division, and Hanam Cultural Foundation, to realize proactive administration that satisfied citizens.
Kim Yong-pil (66), a resident of Misa 2-dong, said, "Thanks to the oversized Hanam-i water exhibit in Misa Lake Park, I was able to create beautiful memories by taking family photos with my wife and daughter in front of the exhibit. I am also actively recommending Misa Lake Park, which has emerged as a local attraction with its beautiful scenery and cute water exhibit, to acquaintances living in Gangdong-gu, Seoul."
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae stated, "I felt great fulfillment seeing citizens smile brightly as they took 인증샷 in front of the Hanam-i water exhibit, saying it has become a new landmark of Hanam City. Our city will continue to strive to bring daily happiness to citizens through proactive administration and interdepartmental collaboration."
Meanwhile, Hanam City plans to refurbish the Misa Lake Park public exhibition exhibits during the winter season, considering that exposure to external environmental factors such as snow, rain, and strong winds may cause aging and corrosion, and will reintroduce them anew in 2025.
