Born in 1943, writer Hwang has lived the life of a warrior witnessing historical events. He passionately participated in the democratization movement and played the role of an artist breaking down boundaries. He also endured imprisonment under the National Security Act and was released as a special envoy of President Kim Dae-jung, accumulating rich experiences.
His activities have had a significant impact on Korean society and the arts community, and he delivered an outstanding lecture at this concert as well. Through this humanities concert, Mokpo National University provided an opportunity for Mokpo citizens and university members to enjoy and communicate through culture and arts together.
Meanwhile, as a 'Glocal University,' Mokpo National University plans to continue cultural and artistic programs for university members and local residents and will present diverse programs again next year.
