Sungshin Remicon Receives Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at Concrete Technology Competition

Sejong Factory and Headquarters Receive KCL Silver and Bronze Awards Respectively

Sungsin Yanghoe announced on the 9th that its affiliate, Sungsin Remicon Guri Plant, received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award at the '2024 Concrete Technology Competition Awards Ceremony' held on the 6th.

Organized by the Korea Conformity Laboratories (KCL) and started in 1994, the Concrete Technology Competition is considered the largest domestic event related to concrete quality and safety. This year, a total of 87 teams participated, divided into quality categories (general and student divisions) and innovation category (student division).

Sungsin Remicon Guri Plant won the highest award in the quality category, the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award. Having won the ministerial award again following 2022, it demonstrated its technological capabilities. Sungsin Remicon was recognized for achievements in areas such as 'high-strength concrete mix design capability,' 'special concrete research and development,' 'low-carbon concrete certification acquisition,' and 'process improvement activities.'

Additionally, in the same category, Sungsin Remicon Sejong Plant received the KCL Silver Award, and Sungsin Remicon Headquarters received the KCL Bronze Award.

Kim Jinha, CEO of Sungsin Remicon, stated, “The future direction of concrete technology development will be eco-friendly and ultra-high-strength concrete, and we will focus all our capabilities accordingly.”
