Awards for Outstanding Startup Companies and Meritorious Contributors

Busan National University (President Choi Jae-won) Startup Support Group held the '2024 Busan Venture Startup Festival' on the 6th at the Westin Chosun Busan Grand Ballroom in Haeundae-gu, Busan.

Busan National University, which is carrying out the Startup-Centered University project, organized this event to share the achievements of 2024 with institutions and startup companies operating startup support programs and to spread the startup culture.

The event was held in collaboration with the Busan Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Busan National University, Dong-A University, and the Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center Foundation, which oversee the Startup-Centered University project and the preliminary and early package projects. The goal is to discover excellent local startup companies, share best practices to foster a startup culture, build startup networks, and contribute to revitalizing the regional startup ecosystem.

At the event, seven outstanding local startup companies and contributors (7 companies, 7 individuals) who have worked hard to foster the startup culture were commended and encouraged. N-Pack Korea Co., Ltd. was recognized for its contribution to the development of the local shipbuilding and marine equipment industry and job creation, receiving the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award. Daehahydraulic Co., Ltd. received the Busan Technopark President Award, and Nongjangsuga received the Busan Design Promotion Agency President Award.

In the contributor category, three individuals were recognized for their efforts to revitalize local startups: Im Song-yi, Senior Manager of Busan National University Startup Support Group (Busan Mayor's Award), Yoon Ju-young, Manager (Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center Director's Award), and Park Sang-young, Senior Manager (Busan Economic Promotion Agency President's Award).
