Hoseo University Wins Silver Prize at Korea Expressway Corporation AI Competition

Expressing the Future of Highways and Rest Areas Using Generative AI Technology

The Department of Digital Product Design at Hoseo University in Asan, Chungnam, announced on the 9th that it won the Silver Prize at the "AI-powered Future Expressway Contest" hosted by Korea Expressway Corporation.

Students from the Department of Digital Product Design utilized generative AI technology to visualize the future of expressways and rest areas through photos and videos.

The award-winning work is scheduled to be exhibited at the Smart Construction Expo held at Ilsan KINTEX.

The Department of Digital Product Design, newly established this year, achieved this significant accomplishment less than a year after its inception.

Professor Baek Junghoon said, "I am proud that our students, even as freshmen, were able to achieve such results," adding, "I believe the award was possible thanks to their ability to utilize generative AI learned in the department, their understanding of various design theories, and their creative yet practical approach."
