As the forest is beautifully colored in vibrant hues all around, autumn is the perfect season to enjoy the woods. How about creating happy memories with your family in the forests of Gwanak?

Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) has prepared a variety of forest experience programs throughout the area where residents can feel the autumn atmosphere.

From October to November, the district plans to operate various forest leisure programs including ▲Cheongryongsan Infant Forest Family Festival ▲Infant Nature Learning Center Forest Family Olympics ▲Gwanaksan Autumn Forest Exploration & Small Forest Concert ▲Weekend Family Forest Experience at the Infant Forest Experience Center.

They have made thorough preparations so families can relax and heal together in the urban forests where you can feel the fresh breeze and clear skies.

First, on October 19, the '11th Infant Forest Family Festival' will be held at the Cheongryongsan Infant Forest Experience Center. Under the theme ‘Let’s Play with Haechi in the Forest Garden,’ participants can experience a total of 23 programs across four fields: ▲Garden Culture ▲Climate Change ▲Eco-friendliness ▲Forest Experience.

The globally popular character from ‘The Pinkfong Company,’ ‘Pinkfong and Ttunteun Teacher’s Dance Party (Sing-along Show),’ will also be held as a side event, allowing children to have a fun time.

On October 26 and 27, and November 2 and 3, the 'Forest Family Olympics' will be held at four Infant Nature Learning Centers in the region.

At the Forest Family Olympics, families can participate in sports activities using natural materials such as bear hand archery, pinecone volleyball, and turing. Especially on October 26, at the ‘Gwanak Urban Agriculture Park Infant Nature Learning Center,’ visitors can also enjoy a music performance by The New Jazz Band, a bubble magic show, and a one-minute acorn caricature experience.

On October 27, the 'Gwanaksan Autumn Forest Exploration & Small Forest Concert' will take place at the Gwanaksan Valley Camping Forest.

The ‘Gwanaksan Autumn Forest Exploration’ offers an educational and beneficial time for children as they explore the forest with a forest interpretation expert and receive ecological education.

Also, the ‘Small Forest Concert’ is planned for visitors to freely enjoy music by spreading mats on the camping forest deck. Three groups will perform: ▲Gwanak Youth Band ‘Dotori’ ▲String Quartet ‘Seogyeong Music Society’ ▲4-member Popera group ‘Poet.’ They will present a repertoire that anyone can enjoy, including autumn-themed movie music, pop songs, and Korean songs. The Small Forest Concert is open to all residents visiting Gwanaksan.

Additionally, weekend family forest experiences are continuously operated from September to November. These take place at Dangok, Seonwoo Park, Nakseongdae Park, and Samsung-dong Infant Forest Experience Centers, where families can enjoy various forest play activities with infant forest instructors.
