Jeonnam Superintendent of Education Kim Dae-jung Visits Wando Yaksan High School Ahead of CSAT

D-30 to the CSAT... "Cheer up, examinees"

Kim Dae-jung, the Superintendent of Education for Jeonnam, visited Wando Yaksan High School on the 14th, 30 days before the college entrance exam, to encourage the students.

Superintendent Kim, along with Kim Jeong-i, a Jeonnam Provincial Assembly member (Democratic Party of Korea, Suncheon 8), supported Yaksan High School students in their exam preparations and encouraged the faculty and staff. Yaksan High School, a small school in the eup and myeon areas, had only 7 graduates last year, but demonstrated the strength of a small yet powerful school by producing successful applicants to metropolitan universities, education universities, and key national universities.

This success is rooted in students' efforts through self-directed learning and teachers' expertise in career and college guidance. Most of the Yaksan High School teachers have less than five years of experience, but they have completed specialized job training to enhance their college guidance capabilities and have built their skills through participation in career and college guidance research groups.

Assembly member Kim Jeong-i said, “I am proud of the students who studied hard in an environment where private education is hard to access, and I respect the passion of the teachers who provided strong support.”

Superintendent Kim Dae-jung stated, “Yaksan High School has shown results where teachers' passion has led to students' successful college admissions. We will continue to expand training to strengthen professional capabilities in career and college guidance and will spare no support so that students and teachers can grow together.”
