Training 'Emergency Medical Technicians'... Dongjak-gu Provides Education for Public Officials

800 Public Officials Trained Over 21 Sessions This Year

Dongjak-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Il-ha) is promoting the "Emergency First Responder Training" for public officials to strengthen emergency medical capabilities in the area.

On the 22nd of this month, the district will conduct the Emergency First Responder (EFR) training, covering all emergency first aid procedures including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), for interested employees at the Dongjak-gu Office auditorium.

A Level 1 emergency rescuer from the Korea Emergency First Aid Training Center will lead the training, and upon completion, participants will receive an international certification recognized in over 180 countries worldwide.

The training content includes ▲ theory and practice of CPR covering chest compressions, artificial respiration, and use of automated external defibrillators ▲ airway obstruction management and emergency first aid for infants and children ▲ procedures for handling emergencies during various events, festivals, and within government offices.

This year, the district is conducting rescue and emergency first aid training for about 800 public officials over 21 sessions, enhancing employees' ability to respond to urgent situations and leading efforts to spread a culture of respect for life in daily life.

According to a survey conducted after the training, overall satisfaction exceeded 95 points, with particularly positive feedback on the instructors' expertise and the vivid, practice-centered training content.

Mayor Park Il-ha stated, "Through emergency first aid training that enables swift and professional response to emergencies within the district, we will ensure the safety of all residents," adding, "We will continue to prioritize citizen safety and implement various policies to strengthen emergency medical capabilities."
