At 193 movie theaters nationwide operated by CGV (excluding Cheongdam Cine City branch), viewers can now use 2 tax points to receive a 2,000 KRW discount on movie tickets.
On the 8th, the National Tax Service announced that it signed a business agreement with CGV, the first private company, to expand the usage of tax points.
Taxpayers who wish to receive the discount benefit can issue a movie discount coupon (limited to 5,000 per month) through the mobile Hometax app and use it when booking online via the CGV app or website. The discount is available on weekdays and weekends (including holidays), and can be combined with credit or debit card discounts.
A National Tax Service official stated, "We hope that this expansion of usage will encourage more citizens to actively utilize tax points and contribute to the development of the film industry. Going forward, the National Tax Service will continue to strive to expand tax point benefits that can be felt in daily life, based on proactive administration, to create a tax environment where diligent taxpayers are rewarded."
