Gwangju City has been selected as an institution for the 'National Happiness Civil Service Re-certification' organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 4th that it has been selected as a ‘National Happiness Civil Service Office Re-certification’ institution by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The National Happiness Civil Service Office is a system in which the Ministry of the Interior and Safety grants excellent institution status by evaluating public institutions operating civil service offices based on the environment inside and outside the civil service office, working conditions of civil service staff, and operation of civil service services.
Gwangju City received new certification in 2021 and operated the National Happiness Civil Service Office for three years. This year, it was selected for re-certification and will maintain its certified institution status until 2027.
The city has continuously worked to provide convenience to civil service users and improve the civil service office environment by operating the BaroDAY integrated window, establishing a civil service office waiting status system, operating a passport reservation system, and maintaining health corners and PC spaces.
It is also promoting systems for the mental and physical healing and morale boosting of civil service staff, such as creating a safe working environment, providing civil service response training for all employees, and operating healing programs and incentives for civil service processing staff.
Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, “We will continue to strive to create a civil service office that all citizens can use comfortably,” and added, “We will do our best to provide more advanced civil service.”
