On the 26th at 4:30 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the 2nd 'Long-term Care Workers' Day' commemorative event held at the district office's small auditorium.
According to Statistics Korea, South Korea is expected to enter a super-aged society by 2025, with the elderly population exceeding 20% of the total population. As a result, ensuring stable old-age security and care support for the elderly has become an important task, and the role of long-term care services is increasingly significant.
This event was organized to raise awareness of the importance of long-term care services, express gratitude for the hard work of long-term care workers in the field, and enhance their pride and self-esteem.
The commemorative ceremony was attended by about 200 people, including Mayor Oh Seung-rok, district council members, organization officials, and long-term care workers, and proceeded in the order of ▲pre-event performance ▲opening ▲introduction of guests ▲greetings ▲award presentation ▲commemorative photo.
Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon District said, “We appreciate the dedicated efforts of long-term care workers,” and added, “We will continue to strengthen community care services to actively support the elderly in living stable and secure old age.”
