"Indefinite Hiatus" Declaration... Adele's Final Concert Tickets Resell Price 'Surprise'

Concert Tickets Resold at Premium Prices... Up to 22.65 Million Won

Global pop star Adele announced an indefinite hiatus, causing the prices of her concert tickets to skyrocket.

According to foreign media such as NME on the 7th, Adele's concert tickets for her final performance this year in Las Vegas, USA, have surged with premiums exceeding 17 million won above the regular price. Originally, the regular prices for Adele's concert tickets were $400 (about 530,000 won) for general admission and $1,000 (about 1.33 million won) for VIP tickets. However, after Adele announced her 'indefinite hiatus,' ticket prices soared to between $3,819 and $17,050 (about 5.07 million to 22.65 million won).

Earlier, on the 31st of last month during a concert held in Munich, Germany, Adele made a surprise announcement saying, "After finishing my Las Vegas shows this November, I plan to take a long break," and added, "I might not be able to perform on stage for a very long time." She said, "I have spent the past seven years living a 'new life,'" and "Now I want to live the life I have prepared for." She also shared, "(Meeting the audience has been an amazing experience)," but confessed, "However, I need a rest." However, Adele did not specify what her 'new life' entails.

In a July interview with German broadcaster ZDF, Adele also hinted at a hiatus by saying, "I will step back from the entertainment industry and do some other creative work for a while." Some speculate that Adele, who has been engaged to famous sports agent Rich Paul since 2021, might be focusing on her family life after marriage.

Adele debuted in 2007 with the single "Hometown Glory." Her hit songs include "Hello," "Rolling in the Deep," and "Someone Like You."

This is not Adele's first 'break.' After releasing her first album in 2008, it took her three years to return. She also took a six-year hiatus after releasing the album "25" in 2015.
