Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Expands Eligibility for Suitable Job Employment Subsidy from '50s' to 'Ages 40-64'

Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Expands Eligibility for Suitable Job Employment Subsidy from '50s' to 'Ages 40-64' Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is easing the recruitment criteria for the second half of the year for the 'Gyeonggi-do Suitable Job Employment Support Fund' project to alleviate the recruitment difficulties of small and medium-sized enterprises in the province and to create stable jobs for baby boomers.

The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is easing the participation criteria for the second half of the year in the ‘Gyeonggi-do Suitable Job Employment Support Fund’ project to alleviate the recruitment difficulties of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies in the province and to create stable jobs for baby boomers.

The Gyeonggi-do Suitable Job Employment Support Fund is a project that provides up to 9.6 million KRW per person annually for one year to SMEs and mid-sized companies in Gyeonggi-do that hire residents in their 50s, who belong to the top 100 suitable jobs for Gyeonggi-do-type baby boomers, as regular employees.

The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation has expanded the scope of the project by adjusting the eligible baby boomer age group and optimizing the Gyeonggi-do-type suitable jobs to support more companies and secure stable jobs for baby boomers.

Key changes include expanding the previous age restriction of 50 and above to 40 to 64 years old, covering the entire baby boomer population in Gyeonggi-do.

Also, the ‘Gyeonggi-do-type suitable jobs’ have been reorganized to reflect the employment status in Gyeonggi-do, including ‘care services’ and ‘automobile drivers’.

The top 100 suitable jobs for Gyeonggi-do-type baby boomers were selected as jobs deemed necessary to support reemployment by utilizing the experience and career of middle-aged and older adults, tailored to the characteristics of Gyeonggi-do.

Business owners of SMEs and mid-sized companies in the province who wish to participate in the project can apply and register through the Jobaba Apply app (apply.jobaba.net) operated by the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation by the 20th of this month. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Western Regional Business Team of the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation at 031-270-9942.

Yoon Deok-ryong, CEO of the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, stated, "It is always very important to reflect the voices of companies and job seekers from a demand-centered perspective," adding, "Through the expansion of the recruitment scope this time, we hope to lay the foundation for creating and maintaining stable jobs for Gyeonggi-do baby boomers with the participation of more companies."
