Haebyeon University Song Festival, Grand Prize Awarded to Kyungbok University Student Ahn Sungmin
Gijang-gun (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced on the 26th that the ‘2024 Gijang Imrang Summer Music Festival’ was successfully held over two days, from the 24th to the 25th, at Imrang Beach in Jangan-eup.
On the first day of the event, the 24th, the ‘2024 National Children's Song Contest’ took place, featuring a variety of celebratory performances such as the Shooting Star children's cheerleading team, sand art performances, and singer Jinwoon. Nine teams of elementary school children from across the country competed passionately. As a result, Lee Jia from Changwon won the grand prize.
On the second day, the 25th, the ‘Beach College Song Festival’ was held. Eight talented university student teams, selected through fierce preliminaries, presented their original songs to the audience. As the passion of the students filled the summer beach, the grand prize of the college song festival went to Ahn Seongmin from Kyungbok University.
Additionally, the festival concluded in spectacular fashion with celebratory performances by popular musicians such as the group Koyote, rapper BewhY, and Chae Bohun, creating unforgettable midsummer night memories for local residents and attendees.
Jung Jongbok, Governor of Gijang-gun, stated, “The passionate participation and enthusiastic response from the audience filled Imrang Beach and brought the festival to a successful close. Next year, we will prepare even more diverse events and programs to further establish this festival as a leading local event.”
