Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province signed a business agreement on the 21st with Korea Electric Power KPS Hanul Unit 1 Business Office (Director Min Jongsik) and Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea North Gyeongsang Regional Headquarters (Director Park Jungsook) to promote a support project for self-reliant youth in Uljin County.
On the 21st, Uljin County, KEPCO KPS, and Green Umbrella Foundation signed a business agreement for the 'Youth Independence Support Project.'
This agreement was promoted to support the successful independence of self-reliant youth and children under protection in Uljin County. Through the agreement, support such as self-reliance challenge scholarships, employment competency enhancement, and job mentoring will be provided to 10 self-supporting youth in Uljin County.
Through this agreement, Korea Electric Power KPS Hanul Unit 1 Business Office will provide a project budget of 11 million KRW and mentoring activities, and the support funds will be delivered to the beneficiaries through the Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea North Gyeongsang Regional Headquarters.
At the mentoring session held after the signing ceremony, three self-reliant youth participated and received practical advice on topics such as know-how for employment at public enterprises, writing self-introduction letters, and long-term mentor-mentee matching, which greatly helped them in planning their lives.
County Governor Son Byungbok said, “I would like to thank Korea Electric Power KPS Hanul Unit 1 Business Office for their continuous social contribution activities in the local community, as well as the Green Umbrella ChildFund Korea for their cooperation in providing support. I expect that the projects supported through this agreement will greatly contribute to the successful independence of self-reliant youth in our region, and Uljin County will do its best to support these young people so they can grow into full members of society.”
