Priority Opportunities Provided to Vulnerable Groups
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting participants for the "Second Half Youth Internship Program," which provides unemployed youth with work experience in public institutions, until the 14th of this month.
This program is designed to offer young people work experience opportunities to improve their job skills and support their transition to private sector employment. The internship period for the second half of the year is from September 2 to November 22, lasting a total of three months.
The number of recruits is 24, with 30% of the positions reserved for vulnerable groups such as low-income individuals, long-term unemployed, and people with disabilities to give them priority selection opportunities. Selected youth interns will be assigned to various departments including the city hall, branch offices, business offices, and town, township, and neighborhood administrative welfare centers to perform administrative support tasks. Working hours are 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, with a wage of 11,040 KRW per hour based on Pyeongtaek City's 2024 living wage.
Eligibility requirements include being an unemployed youth aged 34 or younger who has been continuously registered as a resident of Pyeongtaek from the announcement date (August 5) until the end of the program. Interested applicants can apply in person at the Job Economy Division of Pyeongtaek City Hall. The city will conduct document screening and interviews, and announce the final successful candidates on the city website on the 26th.
