Lee Jaenam was elected as the chairman to lead the second half of the 9th Naju City Council.
The Naju City Council announced that on the 26th, it held the 261st extraordinary session and conducted elections for the chairman and vice chairman of the second half, standing committee chairpersons, and standing committee members.
As a result, ▲Chairman Lee Jaenam ▲Vice Chairman Kim Gwanyong ▲Operations Committee Chair Kim Gangjeong ▲Administrative Welfare Committee Chair Jo Yeongmi ▲Agriculture and Construction Committee Chair Kim Haewon ▲Energy and Tourism Committee Chair Kim Cheolmin were elected.
At the plenary session held with 16 members present, Lee Jaenam was elected with 11 out of 16 votes, and Kim Gwanyong was elected as vice chairman with 10 votes.
Lee Jaenam, who was elected as chairman for the second half of the 8th term, previously served as the chairperson of the Planning and General Affairs Committee in the first half of the 9th term and as the chairperson of the Planning and General Affairs Committee in the second half of the 8th term.
Lee Jaenam said, “To meet the expectations of my fellow council members and citizens, above all, in operating the council, I will respect the will of the citizens and the opinions of my fellow council members, and make transparent, fair, and best efforts for the greater good.”
