The Good Company Awards have been given annually by CCEJ since 1991 to publicly listed companies in Korea that are recognized for their outstanding social contribution and ethical management activities.
The awarded companies are selected through quantitative evaluations using 59 detailed assessment criteria including ▲soundness ▲fairness ▲social contribution ▲consumer protection ▲environmental management ▲employee satisfaction, as well as qualitative evaluations based on expert opinions.
Hanwha Systems received the highest score of 76.41 out of 100 among electrical, electronics, and machinery companies in the quantitative evaluation. In particular, its social contribution score ranked in the top 0.4% among 321 evaluated companies.
Hanwha Systems explained that the evaluation reflected its faithful adherence to fair trade order and corporate regulations, leadership in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management as a top domestic defense company, and contributions to revitalizing the local economy, such as breaking ground on a new business site in Gumi last year.
Seongcheol Uh, CEO of Hanwha Systems, stated, "We will continue fair trade and management and strive to be Korea’s leading defense company that grows together sustainably with our partners and local communities.”
