<Gwanak-gu College Students, Want to Earn Tuition and Gain Social Experience During Summer Vacation?>

Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) is recruiting participants for the "University Student Part-time Job" program for the summer vacation.


The "University Student Part-time Job" is a job program operated annually by the district to provide students with opportunities to participate in district administration and gain social experience that helps with employment, as well as to assist with tuition fees.


A total of 100 people will be recruited, divided into ▲80 general applicants and ▲20 special applicants. The special applicants include basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income groups, persons with disabilities, and North Korean defectors.


Selected students will work from July 1 to July 26, five days a week, six hours a day (including one hour break).


The main duties will be assigned at the district office, community centers, health centers, facility management corporation, cultural foundation, etc., where they will assist with various administrative tasks such as ▲civil service guidance and ▲document organization.


Eligibility requires that applicants be registered residents of Gwanak-gu as of the announcement date (May 27, 2024) and currently enrolled or on leave from a domestic junior college or four-year university. However, those who participated in the 2024 winter vacation university student part-time job program are not eligible to apply.


Those wishing to participate can submit an application online through the Gwanak-gu Office website by June 7.


The final selected candidates will be announced on the district website on June 13.


Mayor Park Jun-hee said, "Many prospective young adults are facing difficulties due to the recently frozen job market and high inflation, and I hope this part-time job experience will help students prepare for employment and career choices even a little." He added, "We will continue to promote various projects that help young people increase their understanding of administration and develop economic independence."
