Strengthening Competitiveness through Joint Research
SK Shieldus announced on the 29th that it will collaborate with Korea Yokogawa Electric to expand security business for operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS) used in manufacturing and production facilities.
The two companies plan to conduct joint research across various business areas, including security diagnosis and consulting, system integration and construction, and operation and management services for manufacturing and production plants. They also intend to strengthen their business competitiveness by sharing expertise such as the latest technologies and global trends.

They will also cooperate to expand their business by discovering new customers. Their policy is to create synergy throughout the entire sales process by jointly securing sales opportunities, strengthening customer contact points, and providing marketing and support services.
In the course of their collaboration, both companies plan to actively utilize their core competencies in OT and ICS security. SK Shieldus has a specialized organization for OT security consulting and system construction, while Korea Yokogawa Electric operates a cybersecurity center specialized in ICS.
Kim Chang-yeon, head of the SI/FM division at SK Shieldus, said, “Based on SK Shieldus’s business know-how accumulated through establishing cybersecurity systems and constructing and operating systems for various manufacturing and production plants, we will provide the best security services.” He added, “Taking this collaboration as an opportunity, we will develop various security services responsible for the safety of smart factories together with Korea Yokogawa Electric.”
