On that day, the mobile civil service office divided tasks by department to provide residents with various convenience services such as △cleaning activities around the pier and coastal areas △consultations on various maritime-related laws △support for hairdressing and medical volunteer services.

Additionally, five members of Mokpo Coast Guard’s ‘Innovation Pioneers’ (policy supporters equipped with change management capabilities) participated in the volunteer activities to collect diverse opinions on the grievances of island residents and derive efficient administration.

The Coast Guard operates the mobile civil service office annually to reduce the economic and time burdens associated with handling complaints from island residents, receiving great responses.

A Mokpo Coast Guard official said, “It was meaningful to provide even a small help together with the local community to residents who need the Coast Guard,” and added, “We will continue to pay close attention to listen to the voices of island residents.”
