LG Electronics Conducts AI and Software Training for Domestic Executives

LG Electronics announced on the 8th that it will conduct AI (Artificial Intelligence) and SW (Software) training four times by September for about 200 executives stationed in Korea. The purpose is to build a consensus on the importance of AI and SW and to enhance capabilities together with its members.

This training program covers how to utilize AI and SW across all business areas. In particular, through product cases applying AI technology, participants will experience changes in the latest technology trends such as AI that analyzes data and generative AI that creates new content, and share LG Electronics' AI vision realization plan for customer value.

Hong Sung-pyo, CTO of LG Electronics Software Platform Research Institute, gave a lecture as a speaker at the "Future Technology Seminar" on the 26th, conducting software education for executives.

Specifically, the program studies cases where vision intelligence, voice and language intelligence, sensor and multi-modal intelligence, etc., are embedded in products so that products can interact with customers and help in real life. Through this, the goal is to realize LG Electronics' AI called 'Gonggam Intelligence (Affectionate Intelligence)'. Previously, LG Electronics redefined AI as Affectionate Intelligence and announced a vision to create a future where AI empathizes with customers and permeates life.

In SW training, the focus is on educating the SW development process centered on SW platform architecture, virtualization technology, and information security. It also covers operating systems (OS) that support smooth operation of the entire system between hardware (HW) and SW, and learning advanced SW development processes.

LG Electronics plans to expand the training for executives to include robotics, metaverse, cloud and data, SoC (System on Chip), communication and media standards, device materials, optics, and more.

LG Electronics stated, "By securing AI and SW capabilities, we plan to provide 'Smart Life Solutions' that connect and expand customer experiences in all spaces where customers live, including homes beyond home appliances, commercial spaces, moving spaces including vehicles, and virtual spaces such as the metaverse."
