Visit the 'Smart Factory & Automation Industry Expo' at COEX on the 28th
Kim Dong-seon, Vice President of Hanwha Robotics and the third son of Kim Seung-yeon, Chairman of Hanwha Group, visited a domestic industrial automation exhibition to review the current state of technology.
On the 28th, at the Hanwha Robotics booth at the '2024 Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition,' Asia's largest industrial automation exhibition held at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul, Vice President Kim observed technologies such as wine breathing (rotating wine to expose it to air) and said, "We must develop various technologies that can be immediately applied in service fields." Hanwha Robotics showcased the 'Sommelier VinoBot,' which perfectly replicates the wine decanting performed by a sommelier at a luxury hotel.
Vice President Kim also met individually with domestic and international partner company representatives to exchange various opinions on robot market trends and customer demands.

Vice President Kim stated, "We must lead the market with differentiated technologies in service fields where customers can directly experience technological changes," and urged, "Please also focus on developing collaborative robots that can improve efficiency and safety in industrial sites."
Kim, who oversees the strategic planning division of Hanwha Robotics, is actively working to secure market leadership, including leading the recent acquisition of the global food tech company 'Stellar Pizza.' Hanwha Robotics signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) this month with CJ Freshway for 'food service automation' and is developing various food tech solutions together with Hanwha Food Tech, which was launched in February.
The exhibition is held over three days from the 27th to the 29th of this month. More than 500 domestic and international companies leading the digital industry, including Hanwha Robotics, participated.
Hanwha Robotics unveiled ▲ Artificial Intelligence (AI) vision smart solutions ▲ industrial automation solutions such as patrol, security, and welding ▲ food tech solutions.

They also introduced the new product HCR-10L, which will be launched next year. The HCR-10L is a long-reach type with a 380mm longer operating range than existing products, allowing its arm to extend up to 1800mm. It is the product with the longest operating range compared to others with the same payload capacity (10kg), and Hanwha Robotics plans to complete product development by the end of this year.
The HCR-10L is expected to significantly improve work efficiency in various industrial fields such as shipbuilding. Seo Jong-hwi, CEO of Hanwha Robotics, said, "The utilization of high-performance robots equipped with AI and deep learning technology is limitless," adding, "They will play a role in enhancing efficiency in industrial sites across diverse environments in the future."
