Gwangju Buk-gu Launches 'Small Business Card Fee Support Program'

On the 18th, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will officially launch the '2024 Small Business Card Fee Support Project' starting this month.

Gwangju Buk-gu Launches 'Small Business Card Fee Support Program'

Amid ongoing economic downturn caused by high interest rates and high inflation, this initiative is part of Buk-gu's small business revitalization policy, which has been promoted since last year to stabilize the management of small business owners facing difficulties.

Buk-gu plans to allocate a budget of 410 million KRW this year to continuously support card fees for small business owners, who are the core of the local economy, taking the lead in overcoming the regional economic crisis.

The beneficiaries of this project are small business owners leasing premises in Buk-gu with an annual sales revenue of 100 million KRW or less as of last year. They can receive support for card fees amounting to 0.5% of their card sales, up to a maximum of 300,000 KRW per business.

Small business owners wishing to apply for support can refer to the project notice posted on the Buk-gu Office website's Communication Plaza and submit the required documents to the nearest Dong Administrative Welfare Center or the Buk-gu Small Business Comprehensive Information Center.

The support funds will be paid sequentially within one month from the application date after verifying eligibility.
