Seongnam-si Conducts Structural Safety Survey of 109,726 Business Sites

Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province is set to analyze the employment structure of 109,726 businesses within the region.

On the 15th, Seongnam City announced that from the 16th of this month until the 12th of next month, it will conduct a nationwide statistical survey carried out annually for use in national and local government policy formulation and evaluation, corporate management planning, and as basic data for academic research.

The survey targets all businesses in Seongnam with at least one employee engaged in industrial activities as of the end of last year.

Seongnam City will dispatch 137 surveyors to each business to investigate nine items including the establishment date, business registration number, organizational form, type of business, number of employees, and annual sales.

When requested by respondents, non-face-to-face surveys such as telephone and internet surveys will be conducted concurrently.

All information collected during the survey process will be used solely for the purpose of compiling statistical data, and business confidentiality will be strictly protected in accordance with the Statistics Act.

The Statistics Korea will compile the results of this survey and make a final announcement in December.
