National Pukyong University (President Jang Young-su) and Korea Ocean Business Corporation (President Kim Yang-su) signed a business agreement on the 25th for industry-academia cooperation in the marine industry sector.
President Jang Young-su and President Kim Yang-su signed the agreement on the morning of the same day at the president's office on the 3rd floor of the National Pukyong University headquarters, agreeing to establish an organic industry-academia cooperation system to respond to the rapidly changing marine industry and contribute to the development of the national and regional marine industry.
Jang Young-su, President of National Pukyong National University (right), and Kim Yang-su, President of Korea Maritime Promotion Corporation, are signing an industry-academia cooperation agreement in the marine industry sector on the 25th.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to work together on △ exchange of industry-academia information for eco-friendly and carbon-neutral marine industry △ fostering future talents and professionals for the regional marine industry △ promotional activities for the development of national and regional marine industries △ mutual cooperation for regional development through the advancement of the marine industry.
This agreement, which formalizes cooperation between major universities and public institutions in the marine industry sector in Busan, aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the regional marine industry and contribute to the development of the national economy.
President Jang Young-su stated, “The convergence among industries surrounding the sea, such as marine bio, fisheries, shipping, shipbuilding, and marine plants, is accelerating, and we expect to create a synergy effect for the development of the marine industry by nurturing future-oriented convergence talents who will play active roles in the marine industry sector.”
