Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, extended congratulations to the first baby born in the Year of the Gapjin on January 2.
The first child of Uljin-gun, ‘Kim I-hyun,’ was born healthy at 9:45 a.m. on the 2nd, weighing 3.2 kg, to the couple Kim Hee-dong and Kwak Min-ju at the Uljin-gun Medical Center’s obstetrics department.
The first baby of Uljin-gun, who received many congratulations, is eligible for various childcare support programs provided by the county.
The county offers support such as the First Meeting Voucher, childbirth congratulatory gifts, and parental allowances upon application after the baby’s birth, and is promoting various projects including health management support for pregnant women and infants, as well as early life health care.
The parents of baby Kim I-hyun said, “This is our first child, and since it is the first baby born in Uljin-gun in the new year, it feels even more meaningful,” adding, “We are very happy and grateful to receive so many congratulations.”
Son Byung-bok, the county governor, personally visited to congratulate the birth of the baby, saying, “Hope has been delivered to our region from the start of the new year,” and “We will work even harder to make Uljin a great place to give birth to and raise children.”
