Gyeongbuk Province Saemaeul Comprehensive Evaluation Selects City and County Saemaeul Associations as Best Organizations
The Pohang City Saemaul Association (President Lee Sang-hae) received the Excellence Award at the ‘2023 Gyeongsangbuk-do Saemaul Leaders Conference’ held at Gyeongju Indoor Gymnasium on the 6th.
At the ‘2023 Gyeongbuk Saemaeul Leaders Conference’ held on the 6th at Gyeongju Indoor Gymnasium, the Pohang Saemaeul Association received the highest award.
The ‘2023 Gyeongsangbuk-do Saemaul Leaders Conference’ was held under the slogan ‘With the power of Gyeongbuk, a new Republic of Korea!’ to encourage the efforts of Saemaul leaders who have taken the lead in building communities and to reflect on the pride and spirit of the Saemaul Movement.
About 2,000 people attended the event, where the achievements of the Saemaul Movement this year were reported and an awards ceremony was held. The Pohang City Saemaul Association was honored as the best organization in the Gyeongbuk-do Saemaul Comprehensive Evaluation in the city and county Saemaul Association category.
Additionally, the Pohang City Saemaul Leaders Council was selected for the Encouragement Award in the local Saemaul Movement sector, and the Pohang City Saemaul Association received the Encouragement Award in the Women’s Saemaul Movement sector.
Lee Sang-hae, president of the Pohang City Saemaul Association, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank the Pohang City Saemaul leaders who have consistently served the community throughout the year,” and added, “Next year, we will continue to promote various projects that can be carried out together with Saemaul leaders and citizens.”
