Commencement of Operations at Vehicle Registration Offices and Others
Gimhae City in Gyeongnam will open the era of the City Hall Second Building and begin operations on December 4.
According to the city, the Second Building was constructed on the site of the former Vehicle Registration Office opposite the City Hall, with 9 floors above ground and a total area of 6,000㎡.
The building will house the Vehicle Registration Office, Water and Sewage Business Office, Urban Integrated Operation Center, and an in-house cafeteria.
Due to the construction of the Second Building, the Vehicle Registration Office, which had been operating from the old Chilsan Seobu-dong Administrative Welfare Center as a temporary office since April last year, will start working in the new building from the 4th of next month.
From that day, services such as vehicle registration, transfer, cancellation, regular inspections of construction machinery and vehicles, and motorcycle usage and disposal reporting will be handled on the first floor of the Second Building.
Monitors displaying the current status of civil complaints, waiting sofas, and document preparation desks where application forms can be viewed at a glance will also be installed.
Kim Misook, head of the Vehicle Registration Office, said, “The temporary office had limited workspace and parking, and poor accessibility, which must have caused great inconvenience to citizens. We will do our best to improve civil satisfaction by resolving these inconveniences with a pleasant environment and high-quality administrative services.”
