On the 21st at 4 PM, Oh Seung-rok, the mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the opening ceremony of 'Haneul Park' held at the plaza within Haneul Park (Sanggye 3·4-dong 82-5) in Nowon-gu, Seoul.
The opening ceremony was held to commemorate the completion of the park's infrastructure along with the completion of the Sanggye 6 District housing redevelopment project, creating a park area of 4,326.8㎡ and a public open space of 4,696.5㎡.
Haneul Park has been newly developed with a circular walking trail, plaza, ground fountain, children's playground, and toddler playground, and equipped with convenience facilities such as restrooms, rest areas, exercise equipment, and CCTV. It has also been newly landscaped with trees and flowering plants.
While parks created and donated through reconstruction projects were previously located within complexes and difficult to access, Haneul Park is significant in that it was developed outside the complex for easy use by all residents.
The event proceeded in the order of progress report, congratulatory speeches, ribbon cutting, and rounding, attended by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, construction officials, and local residents.
Mayor Oh Seung-rok of Nowon-gu said, "I feel great joy that a precious space where residents can see the sky has been created amid the surrounding apartment complexes," and added, "I sincerely thank everyone who worked hard to create a high-quality park."
