LifeSemantics announced on the 21st that it has reorganized its existing service business division into the Internet Software & Services (ISS) division and recruited Kim Boram, former Chief Product Officer (CPO) of Toss, to expand and strengthen its digital healthcare service business.
Newly appointed CPO Kim Boram stated, "Digital healthcare is closely connected to the health of the nation, so it is necessary to establish a foundation that allows customers to use it conveniently. We will implement public-facing services to bring LifeSemantics' core business closer to consumers."
CPO Kim is an expert with extensive experience overseeing mobile services across various fields, having served as Head of Product Development at Vendys, operator of the mobile meal ticket application ‘Sikgwon Daejang,’ CPO of Casa Korea, a real estate fractional investment platform company, and Product Lead at Viva Republica, operator of the financial app ‘Toss.’ He completed his Ph.D. in Medical Informatics at Seoul National University and led the ‘CoPHR project’ researching Personal Health Records (PHR) at Seoul National University Hospital. He also founded the Health 2.0 Seoul Chapter to promote consumer-centered healthcare, demonstrating a deep understanding of the digital healthcare industry. Going forward, CPO Kim plans to integrate and reorganize LifeSemantics’ digital healthcare sectors to present customer-friendly services and lead the revamped ISS division as a specialized service organization.
LifeSemantics is expanding its revenue streams through collaborations with various companies such as Samsung Life Insurance, KB Insurance, Hanwha Life Insurance, and LH, based on Korea’s first commercialized PHR platform, ‘LifeRecord.’ Additionally, the company continues to participate in B2G projects, including the government-supported Doctor Answer 2.0 initiative and signing MOUs with public institutions, leading the advancement of Korea’s medical industry.
Since the domestic digital healthcare market is a regulated industry, LifeSemantics has focused on B2B and B2G businesses. However, with recent technological growth in the healthcare industry and the government’s strengthened regulatory reform intentions, the company plans to build a popular healthcare service that integrates B2C in the future.
Song Seungjae, CEO of LifeSemantics, said, "CPO Kim Boram is a technology and regulatory industry expert who has led popular services in the fintech sector. With CPO Kim at the forefront, we will take a step closer to consumers through innovation in LifeSemantics’ digital healthcare services."
