Certificates and prize money will be awarded to the overall champion as well as to outstanding participants by disability type and category.
This competition was divided into individual categories such as ▲PowerPoint proficiency assessment ▲Excel functions and data calculation skills assessment ▲Internet search utilization skills assessment, as well as applied categories including ▲video shooting and editing skills assessment ▲autonomous vehicle coding skills assessment using coding programs ▲ideas to improve the lives of disabled people and IT utilization skills assessment. LG Electronics is continuously expanding the ‘Global Disabled Youth IT Challenge’ in line with strengthening its ESG activities. Until last year, mainly Asian countries such as Korea, China, Vietnam, and Thailand participated, but this year the participating countries have expanded to the Middle East and North Africa regions.
Yoon Dae-sik, Executive Vice President of External Cooperation at LG Electronics, said, “This competition has served as a foundation for disabled youth who have participated to advance into IT-related fields for further education or employment,” and added, “As a global company, we will continue to support disabled youth so they can nurture their dreams and passion.”
