Through Heatwave Preparedness and Living Environment Inspection

Kim Seon-min, Mayor of Masanhappo-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, conducted thorough inspections by visiting households under intensive case management on the 20th to support a healthy summer.

Kim Sun-min, head of Hapogu District Office, is visiting and inspecting low-income households.

Amid growing concerns for the safety of vulnerable groups due to recent heavy rains during the monsoon season and heatwaves, the district office held a focused inspection period for high-risk case management households starting from the 17th.

During this inspection period, Mayor Kim and six staff members from the responsible department visited 43 case-managed households to check the operation of cooling devices and overall living conditions. They also provided guidance on symptoms of heat-related illnesses and actions to take during heatwave warnings while checking on residents' well-being. Additionally, they delivered donated goods and conducted customized welfare consultations to ensure appropriate services are connected, with plans to focus on follow-up management.

Mayor Kim stated, “We will do our best to manage the safety of low-income groups so they can have a healthy summer amid heatwaves and various infectious diseases.” He added, “We will continue to carry out heatwave preparedness education and regular welfare checks for vulnerable groups such as elderly people living alone, dedicating ourselves to protective activities.”
