Acquired in July 2021
Last year's sales reached a record high of 1.3 trillion
Completion targeted by the end of next year
Factory equipment also being relocated
Doosan Industrial Vehicle, a subsidiary of Doosan Bobcat, announced on the 18th that it will invest 30 billion KRW in its Incheon headquarters to establish a smart office.
Doosan Industrial Vehicle held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new construction at its headquarters in Dong-gu, Incheon, the day before. The smart office, built with seismic design, will be composed of the latest workspaces equipped with video conferencing facilities and height-adjustable motion desks. The plan is to consolidate the office workspaces of departments that were previously dispersed throughout the factory into the new building to improve work efficiency.
Doosan Industrial Vehicle is a leading domestic logistics equipment manufacturer that started producing forklifts for the first time in Korea in 1968. The company decided to build the new office to improve the working environment for its employees and to expand space in preparation for mid- to long-term workforce recruitment plans.
The new office building to be established within the Incheon factory site is scheduled for completion by the end of next year. It will have a total floor area of 5,300㎡ (1,600 pyeong) from one basement floor to four above-ground floors, including office spaces, exhibition areas, and workspaces (Remote office) for employees working in other regions.

Equipment rearrangement within the factory will also be carried out. Some functions of the equipment will be relocated externally, and the previously insufficient material storage space will be systematized. This is expected to improve logistics and manufacturing flow, thereby increasing production efficiency.
Since acquiring Doosan Industrial Vehicle in July 2021, Doosan Bobcat has achieved synergies and results in various areas such as strengthening cost competitiveness, diversifying sales channels, increasing production capacity (capa), and enhancing management efficiency through regional organizational integration.
Doosan Industrial Vehicle's domestic production capacity increased by 20% in one year, from 20,000 units in 2021 to 24,000 units last year. Last year, the headquarters recorded its highest-ever sales of 1.3 trillion KRW, a 40% increase compared to the previous year.
Park Hyung-won, President of Doosan Bobcat's ALAO (Asia, Latin America, Oceania) region, who attended the groundbreaking ceremony, said, "Last year, Doosan Industrial Vehicle achieved the greatest business performance in its 55-year history," adding, "The construction of the smart office will enhance work efficiency and serve as a foundation for even greater achievements."
