70 Teams Compete in 'Meong' Skills for 90 Minutes
Actor Jeong Seong-in Wins
On the afternoon of the 21st, 70 teams of all ages sat with dazed expressions, feeling the gentle river breeze. These were the participants of the 6th annual 'Hangang Spacing Out Contest.'
The event was organized with the purpose of breaking the notion that doing nothing is a worthless act. The rule is to maintain a blank state without speaking or moving for 90 minutes.
Participants from various professions such as self-propelled artillery engineers, animal caretakers, and paramedics advanced to the finals, overcoming a competition rate of 45 to 1. Unique participants, including the popular character 'Belligom,' also joined.

During the contest, participants held up colored cards in red, blue, and yellow to receive services like massages and drinks while continuing to space out.
After an hour, some participants were eliminated for dozing off or failing to resist distractions.
By measuring each participant's heart rate and combining it with citizen votes, actor Jeong Seong-in, competing as an individual, won the championship.
