Free Phytoncide Service Worth 50,000 KRW for Move-in Cleaning Reservations in April
Construction and real estate startup "Naileul Saneun Saramdeul" (CEO Kwon Ji-hye) announced that it will offer a customer appreciation event throughout April to celebrate surpassing 1,000 customers on its online platform for new apartment move-in market, "Hello Ipju," including providing 50,000 KRW worth of free phytoncide with move-in cleaning reservations.
Hello Ipju, launched in August last year, is an online service that matches new apartment move-in customers with contractors for services such as system air conditioners, curtains/blinds, and other simple installations before and after move-in; care services like move-in cleaning, tile grout, and new house syndrome treatment; and rental services including telecommunications and food waste disposers.
Previously, prospective move-in customers had to search for information both online and offline and contact contractors individually to make contracts. Hello Ipju offers a variety of items and contractors listed on the platform, enabling transactions, online payments, and installment plans.
In addition to the free phytoncide service, the April event includes a collaboration with Woori Home, a top company for pre-inspections, to provide a 50,000 KRW worth free post-inspection service when a pre-inspection is booked. Also, membership registration and other benefits offer up to 160,000 KRW in construction discount coupons.
A Hello Ipju representative said, “The existing market has many small-scale contractors with little concept of fixed pricing, often lacking guaranteed after-sales service (A/S), and many cash transactions. As a result, consumers face large expenses at move-in and often find it difficult to pay for multiple items at once. Our service allows consumers to check prices by item, apartment size, and construction area, select services accordingly, and benefit from card payments and guaranteed A/S periods. We expect many consumers who want to choose multiple items to use Hello Ipju.”
The domestic new apartment move-in market averages about 320,000 households annually (from 2015 to 2024). Excluding home appliances and furniture, the market is estimated at over 2 to 3 trillion KRW, and including home appliances and furniture, it exceeds 4 trillion KRW. Currently, Hello Ipju is the only platform specializing in the new apartment move-in market in Korea.
Hello Ipju provides eight service items for move-in complexes in Ulsan and the metropolitan area: pre-inspection, move-in cleaning, tile grout, elastic coating, nano coating, new house syndrome treatment, TV wall mounting, and fine insect screens. The platform plans to rapidly expand to 30 items in the future.
Kwon Ji-hye, CEO of Naileul Saneun Saramdeul Co., Ltd., which operates Hello Ipju, said, “We have confirmed the market potential over the past 10 months, and since the service is operating well offline as well, we want to play a major pioneering role in the new apartment move-in market.”
Hello Ipju is a startup personally started by CEO Kwon Ji-hye, who has extensive experience in construction, building materials manufacturing/distribution/export, and bathroom remodeling services at IS Dongseo. From the planning stage, it was designed as a matching platform service targeting new apartment move-in customers.
