The settlement inspection will be conducted over 20 days from the 6th to the 25th. The committee members will focus on reviewing the 2022 fiscal year revenue and expenditure settlement, bond and debt settlement, performance reports, the appropriateness, efficiency, and legality of financial management, and any budget waste. They will propose improvement directions for the identified issues and submit the inspection opinion report to the county governor so that the results can be reflected in future budget formulation and execution.
Chairperson Kim Bomi urged the settlement inspection committee members, “The settlement inspection summarizes the revenue and expenditure results of one year, and it is a very important role and authority of the council. Through a thorough inspection of the executive branch’s overall financial management, please present many policy alternatives so that our county’s local finances can become stronger and operate more efficiently.”
Representative Wi Seongsik and the settlement inspection committee members stated, “We will carefully examine whether the budget approved by the council was executed legally and efficiently according to its original purpose, and we will do our best to ensure the financial soundness of our county.”
