BGF Retail announced on the 12th that it will hold the 3rd National Child Safety Drawing Contest in collaboration with the National Police Agency and the Child Rights Protection Agency until the 31st of this month.
This year, the eligibility for the contest has been significantly expanded from under 13 years old to under 18 years old. Participants can enter individually or as a group in one of the following themes: ▲ iCU Campaign (Our Happy Neighborhood with Mini Police Station CU) ▲ Child Missing Prevention (Knowing the Principles of Preventing Missing and Abduction) ▲ Child Abuse Prevention (Our Feelings We Want to Convey to Adults).
To participate, contestants must submit a scanned copy of a colored drawing on either 8-cut or 4-cut drawing paper online according to the specified format. Judging will be conducted in three groups based on participants' ages for each category: Kindergarten/Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary/Middle School, and High School. Winners will be announced in May after internal evaluation and public voting through social networking services (SNS).
The grand prize winners in each category will receive a scholarship of 500,000 KRW along with awards: the BGF Retail CEO Award (iCU Campaign category), the Minister of Health and Welfare Award (Child Missing Prevention category), and the National Police Agency Commissioner Award (Child Abuse Prevention category). The Good Friend Award will be given to 20 winners per category, totaling 60 recipients, who will receive a 30,000 KRW CU mobile gift certificate. Additionally, the first 1,000 participants will also receive CU mobile gift certificates.
A BGF Retail official stated, “We believe the Child Safety Drawing Contest will be a great opportunity for participating children to naturally learn how to protect their own safety,” and added, “We will continue to play a vital role as a social safety net to protect children’s safety in the closest parts of our society.”
