An apartment complex with 922 households will be built in the vicinity of Mia Sageori Station on Seoul Subway Line 4.
On the 8th, Seoul City announced that the 2nd Urban Redevelopment Committee held on the 7th conditionally approved the Gangbuk 3 District Redevelopment Promotion Plan (draft). Through this decision, Gangbuk 3 District is scheduled to have a total floor area of 180,000㎡ and a 37-story residential complex with 922 households (including 230 public housing units) by 2028.
Dobong-ro 8-gil adjacent to Gangbuk 3 District will be expanded from the existing 15m to 20m, and Wolgye-ro 3-gil will be expanded from 8m to 12m. The complex plans to provide a pleasant living environment by creating ample green spaces and pedestrian areas within the site.
Architectural review will be completed within this year, followed by project implementation plan approval next year, with construction starting in 2025 and aiming for completion in 2028, transforming the area densely packed with old buildings into a new apartment complex.
Han Byung-yong, Director of Seoul City Housing Policy Office, said, "As the Gangbuk 3 District development project is now on track after 17 years, we will spare no effort to support the swift progress of the project," adding, "We expect the supply of large-scale housing complexes in the station area accessible to both Subway Line 4 and the Dongbuk Line (scheduled to open in 2026) and the improvement of the aging residential environment."
