[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Medical artificial intelligence (AI) company Lunit announced on the 19th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with healthcare knowledge content company Winyu to develop 'cancer health information content and cancer care services.' The signing ceremony was held at Lunit's headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with about 10 officials including Lunit CEO Seo Beom-seok and Winyu CEO Hwang Bo-yul in attendance.

Under this agreement, the two companies plan to collaborate to build patient-centered cancer care services. Specifically, they will jointly promote ▲ production of cancer care-related content ▲ cancer care service projects for cancer patients and their caregivers ▲ research on cancer care models. Lunit will provide Winyu with expert information ranging from cancer prevention and diagnosis to treatment and management, and Winyu will produce this into card news-style content optimized for patients and caregivers, distributing it through its own platform. In addition, the two companies will actively cooperate by continuing joint work on pilot projects and research tasks aimed at establishing integrated support services for cancer patients and caregivers.

Seo Beom-seok, CEO of Lunit, said, "This MOU is significant in that it greatly improves accessibility to cancer health information based on the expertise of both companies," adding, "We will continue close cooperation so that patients can easily access verified information and receive appropriate support throughout the entire cancer journey."

Hwang Bo-yul, CEO of Winyu, said, "Cancer is a very complex disease, and accurate information is of utmost importance," adding, "We will do our best to deliver high-quality, customized information more easily to cancer patients and their caregivers."
