[Daily Fund Trends] 36.4 Billion KRW Net Outflow from Bond Funds


[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Junho] On the 5th, bond-type funds saw a net outflow of 36.4 billion KRW.


According to the Korea Financial Investment Association, domestic bond-type funds experienced an outflow of 36 billion KRW on that day. Overseas bond-type funds saw an outflow of 400 million KRW. Excluding ETFs, a total of 149.4 billion KRW was withdrawn. This was the result of 149 billion KRW flowing out from domestic bond-type funds alone.


Equity-type funds recorded a net outflow of 47.3 billion KRW. Most of this was from domestic equity-type funds, which saw an outflow of 53.4 billion KRW. Overseas equity-type funds had a net inflow of 6.1 billion KRW. It appears that most of the funds flowed out from ETFs. Excluding ETFs, equity-type fund assets increased by 3 billion KRW. With overseas equity-type fund assets increasing by 4.6 billion KRW, the total assets increased overall.


Money Market Funds (MMFs), which attract short-term funds, saw an inflow of 17.7 billion KRW in one day, bringing the principal amount to 162.0474 trillion KRW. The net asset value of MMFs was recorded at 163.3943 trillion KRW.
