Hansome, a fashion specialist company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced on the 8th that it will launch the luxury golf wear brand "LANVIN BLANC" in collaboration with the French luxury brand "LANVIN."
LANVIN BLANC combines the original brand "LANVIN" with the French word for white, "BLANC." The company explained that the brand identity incorporates the infinite expansibility represented by the color white, aiming to present differentiated golf wear that breaks the existing mold.
The core of LANVIN BLANC is maintaining LANVIN's luxurious design while maximizing functionality. To this end, it has introduced a large number of premium functional fabrics from Italy and Switzerland, which are used in luxury brand sports lines. These fabrics feature the necessary functions for golf wear such as elasticity, breathability, and UV protection, while also providing a soft texture like cotton or silk and enabling a voluminous design similar to ready-to-wear clothing.
A Hansome official said, "LANVIN BLANC is performance golf wear that enhances not only the functional aspects of the materials but also mobility," adding, "We applied details and patterns suitable for swing movements through in-house swing tests for each item."
For the upcoming fall/winter (F/W) season, Hansome will offer more than 260 products including outerwear, knits, hats, and bags under the LANVIN BLANC brand. The price range is broadly structured, with outerwear priced from 490,000 KRW to 2,000,000 KRW, tops from 238,000 KRW to 898,000 KRW, and hats from 128,000 KRW to 300,000 KRW. As an unusual move among premium golf wear brands, they plan to actively target customers new to golf by offering an entry-level line.
Hansome plans to open LANVIN BLANC offline stores at four locations this month: Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong Main Branch, Trade Center Branch, Pangyo Branch, and The Hyundai Seoul. Online sales will also be conducted through the official online mall, The Hansome.com. They aim to expand the number of stores to around 10 mainly in major department stores within the year.
