An Open 'Cafe' Where Citizens and Employees Can Relax
Featuring Over 50 Types of Tropical Plants and Around 80 Seats
BNK Geumyung History Museum Reopens to the Public
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A special resting space has been created at the BNK Busan Bank headquarters. It has opened not only as an exclusive area for bank employees but also as a resting place for citizens.
Busan Bank announced on the 2nd that it opened a resting space called ‘B: FOREST’ in the lobby on the first floor of its headquarters on the 1st.
The ‘B:’ in ‘B: FOREST’ stands for BUSAN and BNK, while ‘FOREST’ is a compound word meaning For Rest, symbolizing relaxation. It is introduced as a space where anyone, including local residents and employees, can easily come and rest.
Inside, about 50 species of tropical plants such as palm trees, banana trees, alocasia, and monstera, along with more than 80 seats, are arranged to give the feeling of being in a refreshing natural forest.
Kim Sang-hoon, Head of Management Support at Busan Bank, said, “B: FOREST is an open space unique to Busan Bank where anyone can easily come and rest,” adding, “It is designed with eco-friendly elements in the city to offer healing to citizens.”
On the same day, Busan Bank also reopened the ‘BNK Financial History Museum’ on the first floor of the headquarters, which had been closed for the past two years due to COVID-19.
This place is the first financial history museum in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) region, consisting of Busan Bank’s history and a financial economy experience center, and is a facility open to the public.
