According to Market Kurly, from the 22nd to the 26th, sales of Makgeolli doubled, and sweet-flavored plum wine and bokbunja wine also gained popularity. Low-alcohol fruit wines with carbonation, such as Simsul and Dancing Cider, saw sales increase by 3.4 times.
Among the Jeon varieties that are essential on rainy days, sales of Gochujeon doubled, while Kkojijeon and Dongtaejeon increased by 1.5 times each. In terms of sales ranking by type of Jeon, Kimchijeon was the most popular, followed by Buchujeon, Nokdujeon, and Yukjeon. Sales of Gomtang, which accounts for about a quarter of the soup, stew, and jjigae category, also increased by 2.7 times.
